Heating & Cooling
Geothermal heating and cooling units are also known as ground source heat pumps. The system’s concept takes advantage of the earth’s constant temperature to heat and cool your home or commercial building. Geothermal heat pumps are some the most efficient and comfortable HVAC technologies currently available to customers.

Styles of Geothermal Units
In a closed loop system, ground source heat pumps work by circulating water or antifreeze solution through a closed loop of polyethylene pipe that is buried in the ground.

An open loop system involves taking water from the ground, using it as a heat source, and disposing of it on the earth’s surface. We are not proponents of this method, even though a number of people use it.

The standing column system is a great way to heat your home and conserve energy. Using a standard water well as a heat source, the geothermal unit extracts the heat from the water, which is recycled back to the well.

Take advantage of our experience in geothermal system designing and installation by calling us for a BTU load evaluation and consultation. State and Federal rebates are available for geothermal heating and cooling through DSIRE™. Our well drilling contractors also provide service and repair for geothermal systems.
